How It Works
This information is meant to help students and families identify opportunities available to them based on career interests. By no means is this a comprehensive guide, but rather a few suggestions to start a conversation about "the next step."
How It Works
- Every OLCHS student will identify their top Career Cluster by using the Career Cluster Finder assessment via Naviance (our college and career readiness planning tool).
- Students will then have an indicator added to their Skyward profile to identify their top Career Cluster. This allows the administration, teachers, related school personnel, families, and students to see students' chosen career clusters, and start the conversation about "the next step."
- Students are allowed to change their Career Cluster at any point in their 4-year high school career by contacting their school counselor. OLCHS encourages students to be actively engaged in Career Cluster conversations and finding a cluster of interest.
4-year Planning & Course Selection
- Students will complete a Career Plan that is designed to assist them in developing a Career Pathway.
|
|
- Students will select elective courses based on their identified Career Cluster and Career Pathway.
