School Year 2022 - 2023

Current Students

Student Services Department will register students for classes for the 2022-23 school year during January and February 2022.  Students will first attend a School Counseling Seminar reviewing their graduation requirements and receiving their course selection information regarding courses for next school year.

Counseling Seminars will be held during the following dates: 
Juniors – 1/10/22 – 1/14/22
Sophomores – 1/18/22 – 1/21/22
Freshmen – 1/24/22 – 1/28/22

Online Course Request window for selecting courses: 
Juniors - 1/17/22 - 1/30/22
Sophomores - 1/24/22 - 2/6/22
Freshmen - 1/31/22 - 2/13/22  

Course Selection Meetings will be held during the following dates: 
Juniors - 1/31/22 - 2/4/22
Sophomores - 2/7/22 - 2/11/22
Freshmen - 2/14/22 - 2/18/22

During this seminar, students will receive information on courses required for graduation, college and career information and directions on how to request their courses through Skyward.  Requests should be made in alignment with your Career Pathway.  

Required courses in English, Math, Science, Foreign Language and Social Studies will be recommended and requested by your student’s current teacher.
 
Students will then select the remainder of their course requests online via their Skyward app on their iPad.  Parents will also have access to request their student’s courses through "Family Access" via Skyward.

Incoming Freshman / New Students

​Class of 2026 will register for their courses through a phone conference or in-person appointment with an administrator or counselor.  These meetings will be held on:
Wednesday, February 9th from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 
Thursday, February 10th from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 
Saturday, February 12th  from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Families requesting an IN-PERSON CONFERENCE should select a time slot using this link.

*Note:  Freshman parents will receive a packet of new student information including course selection forms and additional information.  These packets will be given out in-person at our Freshman Curriculum Night on 1/26/22.  Please have this information available for your registration conference.

Summer School
Current students planning on enrolling in Summer School should contact their school counselor.  All summer school information can be found here. 
Freshman / New Students will have the opportunity to enroll in Summer School during their registration meetings in January/February. 
Payment for Summer School is needed before registration can occur.  Families can mail or drop off summer school payments in the form of cash/check.  Please include student’s name, ID # and class requested with payment.  Electronic payments can be made here. 
 
Driver Education - Summer School
Information for current freshmen interested in enrolling in Driver Education during Summer School can be found here.  Contact your counselor if interested in enrolling.  Payment can be mailed or dropped off to OLCHS in the form of cash/check.  Please include student name and ID # along with payment.  Electronic payments can be made online through the OLCHS Web Store.  *If you are a not an OLCHS student, but live within the district boundaries and are interested in enrolling, please call 708.741.5632 to register.    


Zero Hour 
Current students planning on enrolling in a 7th course per semester during Zero Hour should contact their counselor and follow their counselor’s enrollment process.  Freshman / New Students will have the opportunity to enroll in Summer School during their registration meetings in early February.  Zero Hour allows students to enroll in a 7th course per semester and meets from 6:50 a.m. – 7:40 a.m. on M, T, R, F.  The course offered during Zero Hour will be determined at the end of registration.  There is no guarantee that all students will receive a Zero Hour course.  There is no fee.
